PreFab Innovations, Inc. (PFI) is a licensed California general contractor, CSLB #1078820. We build homes on-site using the ZeroCut Building System.
The company
PFI is a general contractor. We hold California CSLB license #1078820 and take projects the way any GC does — with signed contracts, a schedule, and a scope of work. What sets us apart is the wall assembly we use most often: the ZeroCut Building System.
Any licensed contractor can build with the ZeroCut Building System. PFI is one of them, and the most experienced. We build directly for homeowners and developers, and we train and support other GCs who want to build with the system on their own projects.
The ZeroCut Building System relationship
The ZeroCut Building System was invented and is co-owned by our principal through FBX. PreFab Innovations, Inc. licenses the system from FBX and builds with it under a standard licensee relationship.
What we do
Build directly
Single-family homes, replacement homes, ADUs, and small infill projects across California.
Support other GCs
Training and jobsite support for licensed contractors building with the ZeroCut Building System through FBX.
Coordinate engineering
We work with the engineer of record on each project to produce a stamped panel schedule.
Site-built work
On-site framing, cladding, and shell close-in performed by our crews as a licensed contractor.
